This integrated master’s degree offers a high level of practical experience across disciplines, including hospital and community pharmacies, laboratory work and the on-campus Pharmacy Simulation Centre.

It is essential that pharmacists receive the best possible education and training in order to become fully competent, experienced and confident professionals. 

By studying at Robert Gordon University, you will develop an understanding of how the body works, the effects of disease, and how drugs are made, administered and their impact upon the body, as well as ensuring that patients get maximum benefits from medicines with the minimum amount of side effects. 

ICRGU offers a pathway to the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) award from Robert Gordon University. You will commence with a Foundation before progressing onto the First Year at Robert Gordon University. The Foundation will help equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to excel at this course when you progress.  

Progression is guaranteed, as long as the minimum pass marks are achieved within the University Foundation year.

Entry requirements are subject to compliance with the General Pharmaceutical Council's Standards for Pharmacy Professionals and a satisfactory declaration of Good Health and Good character.

Therefore, on graduation provided students comply with the GPhC’s Standards for Pharmacy Professionals, students will be eligible to undertake a foundation training year. At the end of this training year students will have had to demonstrate various competencies and pass a registration assessment to be eligible to apply to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist. Completion of this course does not guarantee registration or annotation with the GPhC, or of future employment.
