BSc (Hons) Cyber Security

The course prepares students for careers as a cyber-security specialist. There is a growing demand for graduates who have the ability to secure computing networks and protect the critical information systems of businesses and government organisations. Graduates of the course could find employment in a variety of areas from the financial sector, commercial or industrial companies to the national security services.

BSc (Hons) Digital Media 

Graduate of this course will be equipped with the skills to design and develop software for a vast range of sectors from training and education, advertising agencies, game and film industries or social media to mobile application development. There is also a large range of opportunities in the oil and gas industry in these areas, for example in simulating potential rig or subsea activities which can demonstrate potential advancements in techniques to simulating drilling scenarios.

BSc (Hons) Computing Science

Graduates of this course will gain a range of technical and interpersonal skills that will prepare students for a variety of careers at the leading edge of computing. Robert Gordon University collaborates closely with industry and the industrial placement scheme available provides students with the opportunity to be involved in new developments in the very dynamic and fast-moving computing industry. A range of employers, including software houses, web-development companies, application developers and service providers for business and industry show a demand for graduates in this field.

Students may find themselves working for a large software developer or the latest technology start-up, or equally the course focuses on entrepreneurship which means graduates of this course could start their own company with the skills they have.
