Former Student - Amina

Amina is a former ICRGU student who has now completed her studies at Robert Gordon University. Amina was successful in obtaining a full year placement working in Manchester for a marketing agency during her third year and we caught up with her to find out how she enjoyed her time on placement during her studies.

Tell us about your placement year?

"I can say that the placement was hard work, but rewarding and a great learning experience. You will get a chance to dip into a real-world business, observe operations from the inside and meet new people from all over the world. My team in the office is quite international, some of my colleagues were from Spain, France, Australia, Poland, Ireland, India and Portugal. So, it was a great multicultural experience.

I discovered so many things every day and I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity. I enjoyed wearing business suits on a daily basis."

What did you learn while working on the placement?

"The placement allowed me to develop my professional, personal and social skills. It gave me a clear vision of what I wanted to do in a near future and help me set my long term career goals"
